The Program
Nepal-US Indigenous Peoples' Forum (www.nipforum.org) and Harvard University, Department of Sanskrit and Indian Studies (www.fas.harvard.edu/~sanskrit), will co-sponsor the “First Roundtable on Nepalese Indigenous Peoples' Issues” on April 19, 2006 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.

We have already invited the internationally recognized sociologist Dr. Krishana B. Bhattachan currently a Chevening Fellow at the University of York, the United Kingdom. Prof. Michael Witzel, a world recognized indologist at the Harvard University, will also offer a talk.

Among other invited will include some Nepalese indigenous peoples' experts currently residing in USA. It is expected that some other western experts in Nepalese indigenous peoples' issues will also participate.
